Blood Oxygen (SpO2) measures the percentage of oxygen in your blood, and monitoring it during sleep provides valuable insights into your recovery and overall health. SpO2 can help assess how well your body is oxygenating and recovering from workouts.
Lower SpO2 levels may signal respiratory issues, stress, or inadequate recovery. Tracking your SpO2 trends over time helps you understand how well your body is adapting to exercise and recovery, especially during rest.
Ranges:
Low ( < 90% ): May indicate potential respiratory problems or insufficient oxygenation; medical attention may be necessary.
Moderate (90-95%): Indicates mild hypoxemia, which could be due to factors like altitude, illness, or high-intensity exercise.
Normal (95-100%): Reflects healthy oxygenation and efficient respiratory function.
Alert Tip: If you don’t see this metric in Your Vitals card, your Apple Watch may not support Blood Oxygen (SpO2) tracking. This feature is available on Apple Watch Series 7 or later. Verify your device compatibility to enable this metric.
