FITIV Points are a personalized way to track your fitness progress, focusing on the intensity and duration of your workouts rather than metrics like calorie burn, which can vary widely between individuals. They provide a fair and consistent measure of effort, making it easier for everyone (regardless of age, size, or fitness level) to compare and track performance.
FITIV Points are calculated using MET Minutes, a measure of energy expenditure. Your workout's average METs (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) is multiplied by the duration of the workout in minutes. This simple formula combines your effort and workout length to produce your final FITIV Points score.
Alert Tip: You start earning FITIV Points when your workout exceeds 3.0 METs. Light activities, such as slow walking, stretching, or gentle yoga, may not meet the MET threshold and therefore will not award FITIV Points.
