During Workout: Why Is My Heart Rate Not Showing?
If your heart rate is missing during a workout, it is usually a connection issue between FITIV and your device.
Check Your Device Connection
Make sure your heart rate source is properly connected:
Apple Watch → Ensure the watch is connected to your iPhone
Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor → Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and the device is paired
The sensor is worn correctly and active
| Info Tip: Most heart rate monitors require skin contact and must be awake (worn or active) to send data. |
Check Apple Health Permissions (iPhone)
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap "Privacy & Security."
- Select "Health" and find FITIV Pulse in the list.

- Tap on an “Apps & Services” or similar, depending on OS version.
- Tap on FITIV Pulse

If your workout is recorded but heart rate is missing, the issue is usually related to Apple Health sync or permissions.
Step 1: Check Heart Rate Data in Apple Health
Open the Health app
Tap Browse > Heart > Heart Rate
Check for data during your workout time
If no data exists, the issue is with the device recording, not FITIV.
Step 2: Verify Permissions
Open the Health app
Tap your profile icon
Tap Apps > FITIV Pulse
Enable:
Heart Rate
Workouts
| Alert Tip: If permissions are disabled, FITIV cannot display heart rate data. |

Check your workout summary
This refreshes the connection with Apple Health.
