FITIV now supports syncing workouts to Samsung Health through Health Connect, Google’s secure health data platform. This new method replaces the older direct integration and offers a more reliable and consistent syncing experience.
Why Use Health Connect?
Health Connect is a platform by Google that helps apps securely share health data. Once it’s set up, FITIV can send your workouts to Samsung Health without needing to do anything extra.
Pro Tip: By default, FITIV is set to manually upload workouts. If you want all your workouts to sync automatically with Samsung Health, make sure to change your workout upload setting to automatic in FITIV.
Step-by-Step: Set Up Auto-Sync
Step 1: Give FITIV Access to Health Connect
- Open the FITIV Pulse app
- Tap the More tab
- Scroll down and tap Data Sharing & Partners
- Tap Health Connect
- Tap Connect
- Tap Allow All to give full permissions
- Set Workout Upload to Automatic
Step 2: Let Samsung Health Read from Health Connect
- Open the Samsung Health app
- Tap the More icon (three dots) in the top-right corner
- Tap Settings
- Scroll down to Connected apps and services
- Tap Health Connect
- Tap Allow All to allow access
Pro Tip: Samsung Health needs these permissions to receive your FITIV workout data from Health Connect. |
