Have you just installed the app? This guide will help you create and set up your new FITIV account.
Creating a New account
When you create a new FITIV account, you can choose one of the three options we offer:
- Continue with Apple (using your current Apple ID).
- Continue with your Google Account.
- Or continue with your email mail.
Your account helps you keep your membership and workout history stored safely in the cloud, allowing you to back up your data and sync it between your devices.
Accepting Apple Health Permissions (iOS)
Once you are signed in with your preferred method, our onboarding process will ask you to enable us to have access to read your heart rate and other health and fitness metrics, as well as permission to write data to Apple Health.
By tapping the button “Connect Apple Health,” you will be brought to the Health App, where you can tap ENABLE ALL to allow the app to sync data with Apple Health.
Your Health permissions can also be accessed by opening the Apple Health App on your iPhone and tapping the Profile Icon > Apps & Services > FITIV Pulse.
Apple Health permissions MUST be enabled to use the app with an iOS device. Disabled permissions will severely limit the app's functioning, leading to inaccuracy and loss of workout data.
Accepting Location Services Permissions (iOS)
GPS mapping and workout route recording are essential parts of fitness tracking. By allowing the app to access your location during GPS workouts, you can ensure that your outdoor runs, bike rides, walks, and more are recorded with GPS mapping, speed and pace records, split times, and more. On the prompted message, tap the button to allow the app to access your GPS data.
Your Location settings can also be accessed and managed by opening the SETTINGS on your iPhone, tapping Privacy> Location Services> FITIV Pulse, and allowing access “While using the app”.
Accepting Notifications Permissions (iOS)
If you enable it, our App will send you push notifications to give you weekly and monthly summaries of your fitness progress. Tap the button to “Allow” the app to send push notifications.
Your Notification settings can algo be accessed and managed by opening the Settings App on your iPhone and tapping FITIV Pulse > Notifications > Allow Notifications.
Happy workouts!
