Your training data belongs to you. FITIV Pulse lets you export individual workouts, and since much of your health data originates in Apple Health, you can pull a complete backup of that too. This article covers both paths, so you always know where your data lives and how to get it out.
What Data Can I Export from FITIV Pulse?
FITIV Pulse supports exporting individual workouts in CSV, GPX, or TCX format directly from your workout history. This covers the details of a single session: heart rate, pace, distance, calories, and training load for that workout.
For broader health data like sleep stages, HRV, respiratory rate, and other overnight vitals, FITIV pulls this information from Apple Health rather than storing a separate copy. Apple Health is the most complete source for this data, and it supports a full export of everything it holds.
Why Does Exporting My Data Matter?
Owning your data means you can analyze your training however you want, whether that is building your own dashboards, sharing progress with a coach, or feeding it into a research project. FITIV gives you a clear, informed path to get your data out instead of locking it inside the app.
ℹ️ Info Tip: FITIV Pulse does not yet offer a single bulk export covering your entire workout history and all health metrics in one file. If that is what you need, the Apple Health export below is currently the most complete option.
How Do I Export a Single Workout from FITIV Pulse?
- Open the FITIV Pulse app and go to the Workout tab.
- Tap the workout you want to export from your history.
- Tap the Share icon on the workout summary screen.
- Choose CSV, GPX, or TCX depending on the format you need.
- Save the file or share it directly by email.
CSV works best for spreadsheet analysis, while GPX and TCX are built for route and GPS-based tools like Strava or TrainingPeaks.
ℹ️ Info Tip: This export process covers one workout at a time. For many workouts, repeat these steps for each session, or use the Apple Health export below for a broader pull of your data.
How Do I Export All of My Health Data from Apple Health?
Since FITIV syncs vitals like HRV, respiratory rate, resting heart rate, and sleep stages with Apple Health, you can export a full history of that data straight from the Health app.
- Open the Health app on your iPhone.
- Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Export All Health Data.
- Confirm the export. Your iPhone will generate a complete file of your Apple Health data.
- Choose how you want to share or save the file once it's ready.
This export includes any data FITIV has written to Apple Health, alongside data from any other connected apps or devices.
⚠️ Alert Tip: This export can take a few minutes to generate, especially with years of data. Keep the Health app open until the export finishes.
Can I Request a Bulk Export Directly from FITIV?
Not yet, but we hear this request often, especially from users doing longer-term analysis or research. A full-account, all-metrics export is logged as a feature request with our product team. In the meantime, the per-workout CSV export and the Apple Health export together cover most use cases.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Does the CSV export include heart rate zone data?
A: Yes. The CSV export for a workout includes heart rate zone breakdowns along with pace, distance, and calorie data for that session.
Q: Will the Apple Health export include my FITIV workouts?
A:Yes, as long as those workouts were synced to Apple Health. Workouts tracked with an Apple Watch sync automatically, and manually logged workouts sync if Apple Health write permissions are enabled for FITIV Pulse.
Q: Can I export data for weightlifting workouts, including sets and reps?
A: Yes. The CSV export for a weightlifting session includes your logged sets, reps, and weight alongside your heart rate and calorie data.
Q: Is there a way to export data for multiple workouts at once?
A: Not directly through FITIV Pulse today. Each workout exports individually. For a broader data pull, use the Apple Health export, which covers all of your synced health and workout data in one file.
